Don’t Lose The Tradition
Traditional welders are the most common, and you will have to choose what type of welding you want to do. If your goal is to simply replace old metal with new, then you’ll be fine with either hot-dip galvanizing or cold-dip galvanizing. If you need something more permanent in your welds, you will probably want to go with cold-dip galvanizing, or TIG welding. These two types of welding are very different, and choosing one is dependent upon which type of weld you’ll be performing.

You should also look for a manual or guide to learn about the process of choosing the correct welders, as you’ll need to have a good idea about which ones you can use to perform the job. You should also research the different types of welders out there so that you know what type of welders you will need.
Traditional welders use a tungsten electrode, or Tungsten Carbide (TC) electrode, that is used to conduct heat to the material being welded as oppose to laser welding. The weld is a sheet of metal that is connected by a filler metal called Tungsten Flux-Cored, or TFC. TFC is extremely effective in welding stainless steel and has proven itself to be durable enough to perform in high temperatures.
TIG welding uses a tungsten inert gas, to fuse the two pieces of metal. It is a more expensive way to weld, but it has proven to be very efficient in welding even stainless steel. TIG welding is also able to handle materials such as copper, bronze, zinc, and other metals, which make it a very versatile tool. TIG welding can fuse metals, but it is not as powerful as other types of welding. TIG welding can fuse metals at a higher level of strength than the other types of welds, and it is a better choice for welding metal that is highly conductive. For example, TIG welding is often used in plumbing, electrical wiring, and metal fabrication, as it is less likely to have an arc that is hot enough to affect the material’s conductivity.
You may find that you don’t have to choose between TIG and traditional welders at all, as both of these types of welders can provide you with the results that you are looking for. If your goal is to simply replace old metal with new, then you should look to TIG to get the best results. If you are going to get a longer-lasting weld and more permanent results, then you may want to consider a traditional type of weld.
